Hi! Welcome to my page — this is a compilation of engineering projects I've done over the years.
I'm a recent UC Santa Cruz graduate in Electrical Engineering, and I'm experienced in hardware, embedded systems, and electronics development. Passionate about solving complex problems and adaptable to a wide range of engineering challenges.

Altium Designer; KiCad
Designed and modeled low-power approach to the Multiply-Accumulate Operation (MAC) unit, using AIM-Spice to model analog circuitry and Verilog HDL to model digital circuitry spanning transistor implementations and finite state machines to model behavior.

Built upon pre-existing bottle drop mechanism to include dual-speeds (one speed for initial drop, slower speed for last meter for a gentle drop) for Ascend's SUAS 2024 competition drone, Skøll. Shrank overall footprint, did several rounds of testing for ease, speed of mechanism.

As part of my mechatronics course this last spring, I was also in charge of electrical design for my team's final project - which involved designing and soldering 1.5kHz and 2.0kHz beacon detectors, as well as handling wiring of our various sensors on our team's robot.

OpenBCI Cyton
I designed and built a functional drone as a personal hobby project! I based my drone's design off a design available online, called the "Toothpick," as I was looking for something light and small and yet versatile enough for the kind of playful flying I had planned for it. Throughout this process, I had to pore over documentation and research different drone components in order to ensure compatibility, as well as test and calibrate these components in order to ensure everything worked properly.
The Hardware Team was responsible for recording brain activity and developing systems to do so. The Hardware Team used an 8-channel OpenBCI Cyton board. Beginning the summer before my freshman year, I was a part of the Hardware sub-team, where I 3D designed and printed various headset designs for our silent-speech interface that took in a user's facial EMG signals.

From business leader to co-captain my senior year, I did a lot here. As a part of FRC, I did some machine learning, fabrication, and facilitated communication between technical and non-technical groups. Communicated with sponsors, community leaders. My responsibilities were extensive: from writing up documentation for our business practices, to editing and submitting for team awards.
In my Oceanography course, worked in a team to come up with a solution to ocean plastic pollution. Presented design of a litter-collecting robot with a poster and presentation.
Personal Project

Made a fixed wing for testing with the controls group. After initial tests, we decided to focus on quadcopter-drone style for further development.
I just thought it would be fun to build a little mouse that runs around belting country music with a built-in flower on top. After detection with an obstacle, turns around - also capable of path-following.
